Archadeck has been providing Chicagoland homeowners with premier outdoor living spaces for over 25 years. We build outdoor living projects that include decks, screen porches, sunrooms, paver patios, gazebos, pergolas, and more.

We are hiring an Assistant Construction Manager to work directly with our Director of Production to oversee the completion of projects. This person will visit job sites to deliver products or equipment to job sites, conduct job starts on projects, coordinate with other trades, and provide an eye on quality control for our projects. The position will coordinate the construction of multiple residential projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities and Duties

Manage carpenters and field personnel.

Conduct job-start in the field and regularly travel to job sites to supervise progress.

Review all construction drawings, schedules, and material orders and provide timely feedback to any issues or concerns.

Shop for non-deliverable items, i.e. Home Depot, and assemble job boxes.

Execute the resolution of site issues as they arise from crews and clients or as assigned.

Deliver and set-up home show and event displays as requested.

Ability to identify issues on job sites. 

Qualifications and Skills

The right candidate for our position will also meet the following criteria;

Ability to lift at least 100 pounds

High Organizational skills

Traveling in the Chicagoland area 85% of the time

Construction Management degree or equivalent preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18-$20/ hour based on experience
